Sorry for not knowing how this bug system works, my first post. As you can tell, inadvertantly I posted duplicates due to web page refresh.
I was googling for how to resize, but could not find the current Syntax in any online documentation, only on the old Syntax. So I would update the docs as Elon suggested, but I don't know the exact answer.
I would hope that both use the same Syntax.
The error message also occurred on both executables ffmpeg and ffprobe, AFAICR.

Your answer does not provide any of the details I hoped for; in particular, it did not provide an ffmpeg or ffprobe command line that shows the deprecation warning that this ticket is supposed to be about. It is also completely unclear to me why you include the link you included. Please reopen if you can provide said details.
More details please. The error message you are citing comes from ffplay, yet the linked page is only about ffmpeg.
