Recently, Debian packaging has ​masked off AltiVec DSP code in their 7.0 release due to several Trac tickets that have remained unfixed.

It is probably time to remove the big-endian pieces: it is very difficult to get a hold of real, working BE powerpc hardware these days.

Some of it is still relevant for ppc64le -- which is unfortunately masked off as well.

FWIW, both bugs are for issues with the little endian ppc64 architecture.
